What is a Tele-Seminar?
Tele-seminars are live, interactive training programs
conducted over the telephone through a teleconferencing
bridge systems. It's very simple. All you do is call
a pre-assigned phone number at class time - from home,
work, even the beach! - and you are automatically connected
with a whole group of learning colleagues. You don’t
have to leave the office, or your home, to learn new
skills, meet people or take a new class!
Classes may be one-time sessions, usually lasting
an hour, or may meet for several weeks in a row, usually
for an hour each week.
Teleclasses are one of the most fun, simple, and hassle-free
ways to experience distance learning.
How are tele-seminars different
from traditional seminars?
Being in a tele-seminar promotes increased participation!
It is easy to share and be heard. And, of course, you
can also choose to listen quietly if you want. As with
the live seminars, group interaction and sharing is
a vital part of the tele-seminar experience.
One of the biggest differences between the two formats
is that in teleclasses you can participate with people
from all over the world at the same time, adding remarkable
diversity to the interactions, and even a little anonymity
if you want it.
